Old Lerum Juice Factory
Lerum juice was first made in August 1907 in a small hamlet called Leri, Sørheim in Luster, which liesin the county of Sogn. Kari and Nils Hansson had a small shop and received berries from the farmers in the area, which they sent by boat to Bergen. One day two containers of raspberries were left onthe quay, these berries were made into juice. This was the start of Lerum’s adventure.
Nils had run the shop for many years. Two years after the first juice was made, the first factory was opened. Today the shop and the factory function as a museum. Visitors can see how juice and jam were made over one hundred years ago, and take a trip to the shop to see how the buisness was run in those days. In the shop visitors can buy juice, jam and other items.
